Omakase at Goto

Indescribable experience, photos can only say so much. Oh whales.

Reservations only. Serves traditional multi-course Japanese Kaiseki.

Exquisite sake cup.

Appetizer, consists of baby abalone, octopus, clams, and some weird stuff i have never heard of in my life. But delicious all the same.

It doesn't look like much, but the soup was really light but flavorful, the round thingy was really fresh fish, and the tofu below was oh-so-delicious. Not your normal tofu, it's made from sesame seeds and had a texture like cheese, with the fragrance of sesame in every mouthful.

Super fresh Sashimi serve on ice. Yay! It's Otoro! The reddish one!

Tempura.

Fish collar.

I don't know what to call this.
According to the nice Japanese lady, the leaf is edible. Didn't try though.

Underneath the leaf, lies a bean paste, with bits of eel and some other meat. Complete with a Sakura petal.

Main dish. Wagyu beef hot pot. Delicious soup, buttery smooth beef.

The hot pot was serve on a paper "pot". Amazingly, it's fireproof. Please don't ask why.

Glutinous rice with miso soup.

Dessert part 1.
Clockwise from top left, Ginger sorbet, Japanese strawberry with jelly, green tea tiramisu, muskmelon.

I think this particular piece of fruit deserves special mention, it crumbles and dissolve quickly into your mouth, filling it with juice, the "Otoro" of fruits. You can get 1 at Liang Court at 70 bucks per pop.

Dessert part 2.
Pot of high grade green tea, with some Mua chi thingy.

Oh whales, it's not everyday.

Time spent in Goto, 8pm to 1050pm.

It was a great day.
