Time for me to post. Yay.

Thought I should post about what I've been doing here, since you guys have been posting about what YOU have been doing there. ~.~V

I got my license last Monday, and one of my friend came over from SG, so we decided to go over to King's Canyon National Park for a day+night, and drive back home the next day. (All 300+ miles of it, 600 miles both ways)

Having no experience driving on the highway, nor long distance, nor even having enough practice driving, I drove 6 hrs each way and can count my blessings for not making any mistakes... besides driving too close to the side on a stretch of a secluded highway and having the car skidding on the back wheels for about 5 secs on the gravel. ^^"

Driving on the roads that stretches along the cliffs like those you see in Initial D, I slowed down alot, to the annoyance of drivers behind me (hah), and yay, I made it safely inside the park.

And because my friend arrived pretty late, I went to one of the cavern tours inside the park w/o him (will post photos later). Slept in the car overnight, missed the sunset cause we're in between 2 canyons, and we drove out for breakfast before going back home.

The biggest surprise was the total damage done for the weekend (just 2 days!) 70 bucks for the car rental, 70 bucks for fuel (600 miles is alot), and I got cheated of another 90 bucks cause I wasn't told the rental was of unlimited mileage.

It was a WTF moment...

P.S. Checking the front (on and near the plate) of the car, I saw about 15+ big flies (or whatever insects they are) that were smacked on and kind of squashed, almost as if I did a hit-and-run on them.

Mr Waraku Curry

Let's take a few moments to present to you what could be the worst possible curry place in Singapore. And if nothing else, this will serve as a reminder to the gang to never step foot into this place again.

Here at Drizzled Honey we make it a point to visit a wide assortment of local eateries to bring honest reviews to our loyal readers (all 12 of them). As such we felt the need to visit Mr Curry.

Located in Central (the one along Singapore river), Mr Curry promised to bring a wide assortment of Japanese curry dishes.

Sure enough, the menu seemed pretty varied with a whopping 4 types curry! (with a choice of carbo and meat)

Here you can see YQ with his meal. No he's not that big, he had already lost weight in this photo. The servings are that small. Don't let the smile fool you. He was crying inside. For a more accurate reprentation of the feelings felt upon receiving our courses, please refer to Master Yan.

These are large servings that cost about $20. As you can see a full course meal consisted of approximately 2 lettuce leaves, about 3 chicken mcnuggets worth of meat, a primary school serving of carbo, some packet quality miso soup and 3 spoonfuls of what tasted exactly like instant curry with garnishes on top. To be fair, their spoons were about 1.5x the size of chinese soup spoons.
I must admit that I am rather partial when it comes to curry. Being something that I had eaten regularly in my childhood, I hold fond memories of it and even instant curry is enough to bring me a small amount of happiness. Of course, that is provided the meal is actually filling. After eating the course meal at Mr Curry, I was left no fuller than eating a double cheeseburger at Mcdonalds.

Before stepping foot into Mr Curry I never knew I could find sadness in curry.

Trung Nguyen Coffee

Trung Nguyen Coffee at Liang Court came highly recommended by famous local pianist Jack Chan and the DHET gang decided to try it out some time ago. Ever since it has become a regular hangout spot.

Menu items here are named in an interesting manner. Brews here are called "Creatives" and are sorted according to grade. Personally I have tried Creatives 1-3 and have noted interesting effects.

A freshly brewed Creative 3 was my choice the first time I visited the establishment, after which I couldn't sleep that night.

The second time around, a pipping hot Creative 2 seemed to have no immediate effect but left me with a headache the following day.

Recently, I tried a iced Creative 1 after which I couldn't keep my eyes open the next two days.

God knows what the other effects the other Creatives have but results seem to vary from person to person. Other reported effects include the increased urge to find employment and increased libido for 2 hours that persists through death.

Ok I made the last one up but only the last one.
